Hi all,

It seems like you're having fun times on the wiki with some trolls. I've only found one instance so far, but I expect there's probably more...

At http://wiki.rifidi.net/index.php?title=Alien_9800 if you look at the latest revision, there's a link for diet pills and one for weight loss that was inserted by StevenCollins. Might want to fix that! I'd fix it myself, but the wiki seems to be locked to outsiders.

Thx and yes we have had this problem and some pages could be still impacted like teh one u mentioned

Ive have cleaned up this but if there others u can point out ill do teh same

There are quite a few spam pages or links on the wiki unfortunately. If you search for common terms (ex. "Passive"), you will find lots of pages of junk spun content. Thankfully, these don't seem to be linked to or indexed anywhere else, so they're not too difficult to ignore. The hidden links seem to have been mostly cleaned up, but I'm sure there are still a few hiding in the less frequently visited and updated pages.

I agree the lock on the wiki is sort of a double-edged sword here. It works to keep spammers out, but it also prevents the community from repairing existing pages.

OK cleaned up much of teh wiki

Now looking how to setup so users can register and contribute (yet block spam) - upgraded to latest mediawiki which has some new features for this

well keep all posted on progress

This helped me find more patterns to cleanup

appears most of teh pages seem to be clean. Where I still may have some gaps is with user pages (spam)
