mouse scrolling

Post by drmarkpowell » Mon Jul 14, 2008 4:29 pm

I am using the jmeswt Eclipse RCP integration code for a JME project of my own. I am trying to use the mouse scroll wheel to control the zoom of the camera. It does not appear to be working, although there is event handler code in the SWTMouseInput class that seems to be intended for this. Is this a known issue or perhaps just a problem with my usage?

That depends on how you are using it.
The SWTMouseInput was only tested with the firstpersoninputhandler from JME.
SWTMouseInput is meant to integrate with the handlers that JME provide.
In our projects we are registering our own MouseHandler and access the camera from outside of JME as none of the provided handlers did what we needed for designer.
By the way:
We are currently teaming up with some other JME/SWT developers to create a tighter integration with JME and to (hopefully) push our stuff into the JME-Core.
Cheers
Jochen
