Re: RFIDI emulator add reader not working
Yes this is a known issue and seems to depend on which JVM
The issue seems to have started with JVM 1.8 and/or possibly 64 bit JVM versions as well
What JVM version are you using?
For example I'm using Sin JDK 1.7.0_25 32 bit and emulator works (on Windows 8 Enterprise 64bit)

Re: RFIDI emulator add reader not working
Hello guys,
I am working on Win8 machine and have Java 8 installed already. Last week I installed Java 7 but Emulator still not showing me the reader button + not working!!
Any idea on how I can make the Emulator works on the required Java environment? with regard that I have both versions installed on the machine.
Thanks in advance,,,,

Re: RFIDI emulator add reader not working
Please ensure java 1.7 is default. This can be issue if you have multiple jvms installed
I believe there is a JVM control panel setting

Re: RFIDI emulator add reader not working
You need to change the Java version in your PATH environment variable. Make sure you put the Java directory in front of everything else, or Windows might default to another directory that comes first. You can check the current settings at the command line using:matmoh wrote:Any idea on how I can make the Emulator works on the required Java environment? with regard that I have both versions installed on the machine.
Code: Select all
echo %PATH%
How do I set or change the PATH system variable?
Re: RFIDI emulator add reader not working
I also have problem with "Add Reader" button. The button is displayed, but when clicking the button, there is no response. All other buttons are working perfectly.
I have also checked the path and version # of Java installed, which are as below:
Java Version:
java version "1.8.0_66"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_66-b17)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 25.66-b17, mixed mode)
Also,
echo $PATH shows "/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-oracle/jre/bin"
echo $JAVA_HOME shows "/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-oracle"
Is there any reason why only "Add Reader" button is not responding?
Thanks
