Editing MultipleNewTagsWizard

Post by michele » Fri Jun 19, 2009 12:18 pm

Hi , I'm back!
i need to modify the "add multiple tag" wizard
i've checked out the org.rifidi.views.tag project
i've edited the run configuration to use the workspace's org.rifidi.views.tag project instead of the target platform one, i've changed a label of a textbox in the wizard then i've ran the application with the "eclipse application" button
But nothing changed in the Rifidi Emulator.

have i missed something?

Thank you for your patience

I see the problem with this particular issue. You are following the steps correctly to check out and modify code, but it looks like org.rifidi.views.tags.wizard.MultipleNewTagsWizard is not the wizard that is being used. Looks like org.rifidi.ui.common.wizards.tag.MultipleNewTagsWizard (from org.rifidi.ui.common) is the one that is being used in this case. I think the problem is that the org.rifidi.ui.ide application uses a legacy view part (org.rifidi.ui.ide.views.tagview.TagView) instead of the most recent one (org.rifidi.views.tags.TagViewPart). I put an issue in trac to update the IDE to use the more recent tag view, which should take care of this issue. See https://trac.rifidi.org/rep-external-trac/ticket/102
